Privacy notice
How we collect, use and protect your information. Last updated: 19 October 2026.
Who we are
Spark-AI (spark-ai.co.uk) is run by Jason Stretch, 85 Hookland Road, Porthcawl, CF36 5SG. Jason Stretch is the data controller for the personal information described here. Contact us about privacy at contact@spark-ai.co.uk.
What we collect and why
- Contact form: your name, business, email, optional phone number and message, so we can reply to your enquiry. Lawful basis: legitimate interests in responding to enquiries, and steps at your request before entering a contract.
- AI readiness check: your answers and optional business description, used to generate your score and report. If you provide your email and tick the box, we email you a copy and may follow up about your results. Lawful basis: your consent for emailing and follow-up; legitimate interests for generating the report you request.
- Spark AI assistant (chat): the messages you type, so the assistant can reply. If you ask us to contact you, the assistant collects your name, email and enquiry details and sends them to us. Lawful basis: legitimate interests in answering questions and responding to enquiries you request.
- AI knowledge search: the question you type, used only to generate an answer.
Please don't share sensitive personal information (such as health details) through the chat, search or forms.
How AI is used
The chat assistant, knowledge search and readiness reports are powered by Claude, an AI model provided by Anthropic. Your messages and answers are sent to Anthropic to generate responses. AI responses can be inaccurate and are general information, not professional advice. No decisions with legal or similarly significant effects are made about you by automated means.
Who we share data with
We use trusted service providers who process data on our behalf:
- Vercel Inc. – website hosting, and hosting our private lead-management dashboard
- Anthropic – AI responses for the chat, search and reports
- Resend – sending emails
- Namecheap – receiving and storing enquiry emails
Some of these providers are based in, or process data in, the United States. Where personal data is transferred outside the UK, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as the UK International Data Transfer Addendum or the UK–US data bridge, as applicable. We never sell your data.
How long we keep it
Chat conversations are not stored by this website after your browser session ends, although our service providers may keep limited logs for a short period for security and abuse prevention under their own terms. Enquiries and readiness-check leads are sent to us by email and recorded in our private lead-management dashboard. They are kept for up to 24 months after our last contact, unless you become a client, in which case we keep records as needed for the engagement and legal obligations.
Cookies
This website doesn't use advertising or analytics cookies. Your browser temporarily stores your chat conversation in session storage so it continues as you move between pages. It is cleared when you close the tab.
Your rights
You have the right to access, correct or delete your personal data, to object to or restrict its use, to data portability, and to withdraw consent at any time. Contact contact@spark-ai.co.uk. If you're unhappy with how we've handled your data, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk), though we'd appreciate the chance to put things right first.
